Welcome to Protis Reviews. My name is Alan, and for an hour each week I will be showcasing the hottest releases from local artists in the Brisbane music scene, as well as those from interstate and overseas. I have been writing reviews of studio releases, be they singles or EPs, since June of 2024. I started reviewing live performances in September of 2024, and have been enjoying these immensely! My aim for this show is to see how it works in a radio format.
This week on "Protis Reviews' features an interview with regional alt-rockers Cardboard Cutouts. They released their debut album “Politics & Footy Tips” earlier this year, and then went on a 12-date tour all across Australia! Their frontman Eliot joins Alan for a chat about the band's time on the road and the making of their studio creations.
