Welcome to Protis Reviews. My name is Alan, and for an hour each week I will be showcasing the hottest releases from local artists in the Brisbane music scene, as well as those from interstate and overseas. I have been writing reviews of studio releases, be they singles or EPs, since June of 2024. I started reviewing live performances in September of 2024, and have been enjoying these immensely! My aim for this show is to see how it works in a radio format.
This week on "Protis Reviews" puts the focus on Toowoomba-based alt-rockers Cardboard Cutouts. Alan interviewed their frontman Eliot late last year, and it was a very enjoyable experience for both of them! Tonight's show will feature their EP "Patchwork" played in its entirety throughout the episode. This body or work was released on the 23rd of November 2023.
