Welcome to Protis Reviews. My name is Alan, and for an hour each week I will be showcasing the hottest releases from local artists in the Brisbane music scene, as well as those from interstate and overseas. I have been writing reviews of studio releases, be they singles or EPs, since June of 2024. I started reviewing live performances in September of 2024, and have been enjoying these immensely! My aim for this show is to see how it works in a radio format.
This week on "Protis Reviews" recaps some of what went on at last year's BIGSOUND, which is the annual music conference and festival showcase event. In the first week of September, Brisbane's Fortitude Valley lights up with four days and three nights of some of the best emerging musical talent going around! Many artists have had humble beginnings on these very stages, and have gone on to bigger and better endeavours!
