Alex Oliver is roughly 5 foot 11, an inch under 6 foot, and this is reflected in his writing style.
This tall, short man spent 25 years trapped in two separate radio stations. He passed the time fidgeting, and later writing absurdist comedy scripts for 'Seaside Radio', which went on to become comedy packages nobody asked for.
Alex Oliver's next bold move was to write a book nobody wanted. For this he took an old story invented for his story starved son, and stretched it out by using bigger words and longer spaces. That book, 'The Electric Grandma Experience', is available now and continues to confuse and befuddle readers who thought they were reading a work of historical non-fiction.
While the author waited by his post-box for fame and fortune to arrive, he wrote another book, again adapting a children's story made up for his long suffering son, who by this stage had completed university. This time the author deviated from his pattern of using bigger words and spaces, and instead just made up a bunch of crazy stuff. The final product includes scenarios so absurd they not only befuddle the reader, but completely bamboozle them as well. Some readers have reported feeling woozy after only a few paragraphs.
This new 'work' is called: 'Harvey and the Home for the Overly Imaginative', and it will be available as soon as expectations lower.
