Pablo DE JESUS

Inspired by lullaby songs (mostly Brahms “Wiegenlied”), Alt-Rock, MPB (Música Popular Brasileira) and Bossa Nova. Pablo’s writing is aimed to take the listener to a place of calm and tranquillity.

Motivated by his great-grandfather José Laurindo DE JESUS, who was born a slave in 1893 as José Laurindo DO ROSÁRIO (Rosário; the tree species “Melia azedarach”). Rosário was the name of the farm and the surname of every slave that belonged to that farm. When José Laurindo was in his mid-twenties, he went to register himself and he chose his last name: DE JESUS.
